This book was so far outside of my comfort zone. I normally stick to YA, fantasy and romance. I almost never stray from those genres but this year it has been my goal to branch out a little bit. So when I saw this book on bookish first I went for it and I won! And I am so glad I did because I enjoyed this book so much!
We have Dr Parker telling us his story through an online forum. It was such an interesting way to read a book. This is Dr Parker's first job at an insane asylum. There is a patient who has been in the asylum since he was a child. Whoever comes into contact with this patient were driven insane or committed suicide. Parker wants to "cure" this patient. He thinks that this man has been held captive in the asylum.. and well I think you should pick this book up and find out what happens.
It was a fascinating read. I loved the writing format. I loved Dr Parker and his naive belief in people and the world in general. I highly recommend this book!
