WOW, I started this book and could NOT put it down! It was so creepy and I couldn't wait to find out what was going to happen. I finished the majority of The Patient in just one sitting, and had a really hard time putting it back down.
The format was a little different than expected, in that it was written as the narrator was posting on his blog which I didn't LOVE, but DeWitt made it work well for this story.
The ending also leaves a little bit up to your own interpretation, which I have mixed feelings on, and I had hoped for it to wrap up a bit differently. It wasn't what I expected though, and I love when I have a hard time guessing the ending!
Overall, The Patient was a solid read if you love creepy/horror - however, be aware that there are many trigger warnings! I gave this one 3.5 stars myself.
