I only read the sneak peek of this book but I love horror and psychological thrillers and this book sets up nicely to have it all. It is reminiscent of some of my favorites while creating a unique story. In the first 20 pages I got a big taste of Michael Myers and Dr. Loomis, a frightening possibility of Reagan MacNeil, the stifling environment of Randle McMurphy, and the eerie sense of Danny Torrence. How fun!?!? Even though this is all so familiar, the author has set up an intriguing plot that makes you want to keep turning the pages.
The character development is great and even though I know it can't possibly go well, I'm on board with the Doctor's mission. I'm rooting for him! I can't wait to join him on his journey as he gets to know his patient.
