This was a quick, easy read and for the first 3/4 of the book I was hooked!
I really enjoyed the way it's written as entries on an online forum.
The premise is that a new doctor begins working at the state mental hospital and discovered there is a patient there that was committed at the age of 6. That patient has been there, undiagnosed and isolated, for decades.
Everyone that enters his room winds up either dead or insane. The new doctor vows to figure this all out.
The last 1/4 is where it fell flat for me. I felt it succumbed to a generic horror ending. Put that aside though and the book is really quite good. Don't go into it with the lofty expectations that I did and you'll be happy with it.
It would make an excellent horror film by the way!
