Don’t read at night!
The patient is an edge of your seat, don’t close your eyes thriller that leaves you wishing you didn’t turn the page! Based on a Reddit article about a patient at a psychiatric hospital the patient is written as a journalistic style recounting a young psychiatrist’s attempt to help a patient. The first chapter had me hooked and I couldn’t wait to read more. I felt that the middle may have slowed a little but it was just building up for a razor sharp, fast ending that will leave you questioning everything you read. I enjoyed the writing and style and was scared by the end of the book, despite not believing in the supernatural elements presented. This book was a great change from my normal reading as I normally don’t read much of this genre and I am thankful for the opportunity.
