If you loved reading Dracula, this seems to be the book for you. The influences from Bram Stoker's infamous novel are very clear in this: the setting of the mental asylum, the mystery surrounding this patient, the "found letters" style that the book is written in. All are also found in Dracula. Even the description of Patrick driving to the mental asylum was very similar to Jonathan Harker first driving to Dracula's castle.
This seems like it will be a very interesting story and I'm intrigued to find out what the patient is suffering from.
