The plain cover sets the tone for this book. What is this story going to say about the psychiatric facilities and treatments the emotionally disturbed in the 70's? it seems that the story is going to be anything but simple and bland as the story of the six year old Joseph begins. My first question is how could anyone hospitalize a six year old for four years and not have any written notes? My follow-up question is are those kinds of institutions better now in 2020?
