Is this another version of "The Silent Patient"?

From the short First Look, all I think is that this book is another version of "The Silent Patient". A young, not-yet-jaded doctor goes to work at a dreary mental hospital, becomes fascinated by a mental patient long since forgotten/neglected/feared, and endeavors to start therapy with said patient.

Yeah, that's The Silent Patient.

Putting that similarity aside, I was very interested in this book.

I love the first person perspective, a journal to document his successes or failures with this patient. Think The Blair Witch Project or Session 9! Creepy!

You have to be willing to get the creepy crawlies when you read this book. That's my guess at least. I like it.
