This excerpt was much shorter than many of the other excerpts found here on BookishFirst, which I feel should be changed particularly for this book. The book begins very slowly with description about Parker's life, which while necessary is a pretty boring way to start a book. Most of the excerpt consists of this description, and just as the book was beginning to be mildly interesting the excerpt ended. Despite this, though, the premise is intriguing enough and the book was picking up enough for me to want to read a little bit more.
