I was less than impressed by the cover. This would never be a book I took notice of on the bookstore shelf.
However, the excerpt drew me in very quickly. The relatability of the newly-minted doctor helped greatly in explaining his interest in such a disturbing patient. We all know that those with a fresh, new title think they can and will change their chosen profession for the better permanently and dramatically.
I would devour this book in a few days; in one day, if the circumstances were right.
