The cover is kind of bland as I can't see what it is very clearly so it just looks white and gray. I also had mixed feelings about the voice. It's written from a doctor's perspective, so it feels very clinical and lengthy which is very accurate; however, I didn't enjoy it much as I felt that I couldn't get a feel for who the character was. Also, it gave a lot of details that I didn't need to know and didn't feel integral to the plot (such as the fact he used mapquest to find out where he was going in the woods). Negatives aside, the plot sounds very interesting. A mental patient for over 20 years whose symptoms constantly change and who seems to be in tune with other's past traumas? I want to read more for that reason alone.
