This book gripped my attention from the beginning. The book jacket pops and gives you an instant eerie feeling. Is that blood or ink splatter? What is hiding in the background? I knew immediately this book would thrill.
However what I did not expect was for it to open on the premise of being authored by an unknown psychiatrist telling his story to other physicians on a now nonexistent website. I flew threw the first 20 pages. As a medical provider myself this book gripped me in a matter of minutes.
The young over zealous psychiatrist who truly wants to help. The experienced nurse who tried to warn him not to dig. The hardened supervisor physician who likely was just like the writer in his younger years but who now has settled into complacency and laziness with age and boredom. I simply cannot wait to learn more of “Joe” the patient without a diagnosis. Who can seemingly find and use your inner most demons in a single interaction.
