Wow! What a very touching and heart wrenching story this must be! How scared Pia must be to wake up in a hospital not knowing why or where she is and then being placed in an orphanage and being so desperate to know what is happening to her baby brothers but not being able to find out anything because of where she is. Then there is Bernice Groves, who is herself grieving the loss of her own baby. Bernice sounds as if something has changed in her and that she is not thinking straight and a pure evilness has evolved.
I want to read The Orphan Collector and see what it has to offer me. I fear great sadness and hope for lots of suspense and see many lies and trickery, as well as desperation. I cannot wait to read it!
