I absolutely love this book. This is one book I Will definitely be thinking about even though I have finished reading it. When the Spanish flu hits, pia a thirteen year old is left frightened, and alone to care for her twin 8 month old brother, she sets out to find food for them. While gone she must try to make sure she dose not get I'll and makes it back to her brothers. Bernice sees her leave and decides to go check on Pia's mother, in the process she finds Pia's brothers alone so she takes things in her own hand and abuse the situation. I loved the writing style, and felt that the book was written well , and hit right on the spot what it is like when a pandamic hits. I loved how it end perfectly..
