We're hit with a title made of powerful words at first. Soon, we see the haunting image of a child, alone, on the stairs. The synopsis sounds gripping and interesting. Historical fiction is my favorite genre, and to sprinkle in a little bit of biological dystopia, it's near perfect. I've got to get my hands on this book.
