This will be the second Ellen Marie Wiseman book for me should I be fortunate enough to get one. The story had me at the graphics she so painstakingly chose for this book. The girl Pia is every responsible girl at that age. Helping her mother, dependent on her parents, being Mother Hen to her siblings. I want to read this book, devour it!
As a student of WWI history myself, I can already see the exactness that Wiseman has once again striven to bring to this subject. I felt I was there in the crowd with Pia and her family.
