The first thing that drew me to this book was the cover and synopsis of the book. I had read a novel before about the Spanish flu epidemic that claimed so many lives. It shocked me to hear of something so devastating that so many of us knew about. In reading this First Impression, I can already tell this is a story that I will not only learn from, but truly enjoy. As an avid historical fiction reader, I always enjoy when the story is told through multiple points of view as this one is.
