Historical fiction is always hit or miss for me... it has to surround a time period that hasn't been written to death. Considering the state of the world right now, this might be the perfect book to draw me into this genre. I tend to struggle a bit with child narrators but so far, I appreciate the level of introspection that Pia has and the writing style is very easy to read.
