In the popular genre of WWII historical fiction, I am always looking to read other topics impacting history outside of WWII. The Spanish Flu epidemic of 1918 provides a real-life reminder of what we are dealing with today with the COVID-19 epidemic. As hard as it is with the uncertainty, it's important to understand it could be much, MUCH worse as history will tell you in novels like The Orphan Collector.
