One of my Favorites
The most fitting book for the times we're living in, The Orphan Collector speaks to me. It's a personal story about a pandemic and losing your family. That's what makes it real, the personal connections, and that's what keeps me reading. I would rather engage with this type of novel rather than a dry text explaining the Flu Epidemic. Only contention I have is the writing is a little dense so this is not a speed read.
The cover is so sweet and painful at the same time. I wanted to reach out to the little girl and hug her. Finally, a cover that isn't showing me the back of a person! Glad to finally have a front facing protagonist.
