How timely. This is exactly what I want to be reading right now. I don't know much about the history of the Spanish Flu but I've been hearing a lot about it given the circumstances. This sounds really interesting, especially being written from an immigrant's perspective. And Pia is interesting, too, with her anxiety about touching people/being touched. Anxiety might be too light of a word, maybe phobia? I'm curious about that and how it will play into the flu epidemic.
