Wow, I'm not sure if this is good or bad luck to be having a book about the Spanish flu coming out right now ... but I was pleasantly surprised by this sample. I really like the characters, and the attention to detail both of the MC's German heritage and the world as it stands. Great sense of place. Not sure I can handle this kind of topic right now but I'd highly recommend for historical fans.
