I feel like I read this in about 30 seconds. Fast paced, horrific, heart wrenching, and certainly timely. Even the book cover breaks my heart. I have to know how young Pia is going to face this chaos. I have already fallen in love with her and feel myself trying to provide her with strength and courage through every page. I love historical fiction and MUST continue reading this one, especially during our current global situation.
