As a history geek (and teacher) this book has me hooked from the beginning lines. Especially in light of today’s social distancing climate, the topic of historical pandemics and the reactions of Americans to the perceived threats (today it’s China, then it was the Germans) is fascinating. Can’t wait to read the rest!
