Fascinating story, especially in light of current events
Historical fiction is my favorite genre, so this book excites me. In light of current events, the Spanish flu is once again a fascinating time in our US history. I’m so curious to see what parallels and contrasts that epidemic hold to our current day pandemic.
The character of Pia is interesting already, as well. I enjoy the author’s writing style. She’s very descriptive of feelings, sights and sounds. I can tell this will be a book I’ll get lost in.
