1918 was a brutal year. WWI was raging, and so was the 1918 Flu Epidemic. This book looks at the epidemic from an American perspective, at a time when medicine was still developing and paranoia about German-American immigrants was rife. 100 years later, these issues are still so relevant. I'm eager to read the rest of this book.
