This story is chillingly and gripping form the onset, given the current climate. The opening images from 1918 health safety posters is all to familiar with the current global pandemic. The little girl Pia in the story is so sweet, matured by the situation that steals her childhood innocence. This is such a heavy read right now but I devoured the excerpt from the get - go.
