Wow, what can I even honestly say? I'm speechless just from reading this blurb. This is going to be one of those books that you literally push into everyone's hands because it's that powerful.

The title and cover, alone, draw me in, making me feel for the girl on the front. There's so much sorrow in that cover, but the title sparks hope. However, after reading the blurb, I'm not sure how much hope there is, since the children are stolen away from families that love them. But, if the children are safer and have more food than what is available to them, maybe they're better off and will be grateful for their lives in the long run. This is a book that will clearly tear me apart. I know I will feel for Pia, trying her best to provide for her siblings, only to find them missing. But, I can also see myself starting to sympathize with the abductor, even though I still feel she is ultimately wrong, depending on how she is portrayed.

I honestly can't wait to get deep into this one. It's going to tear me apart and make me questions my own beliefs. But, I have to read it. I have to known what happens. Plus, I just discovered my great grandpa'sfather, I believe it was, died from the Spanish flu. I'd like to know more about this time frame, to better understand our history and current situation.
