Wow, this book centered around the Spanish Influenza could not be more timely. Businesses and schools shut down, people quarantined, a virus running rampant through a city. Thank goodness we have been able to move past putting onions and garlic around our necks to ward off evil! I am intrigued by the stories of Pia and Bernice, how they will move away from death and hopefully find each other. Historical fiction is my favorite genre. I don’t know much about the Spanish flu so I’m very eager to read more.
