This book was written from the perspective of four Native American’s whose past comes back to haunt them. This book carried themes of revenge and vengeance along with beautiful cultural details. It has a darker plot which is supposed to be horror.
This was recommended by a coworker who was blown away by this book. While the story had an interesting plot the execution was very slow and almost boring at times. I appreciated the cultural details incorporating native culture in present tense, however it was not enough to hold interest. I would not classify this as horror. I do have to give it to the author there were a number of twists that did provoke visceral reactions I was not expecting. Based on all the information above I have conflicting feelings on whether or not I loved or hated this book. Of all the books I read last year this was middle of the road, better than a “Do Not Finish” I suppose!
