I was really looking forward to reading this book, but it was just okay for me. A lot of the time I had a hard time deciphering what was even happening because of the complexity of the writing style. There was one page that I had to read three or four times before I understood what was going on in that scene. I also didn’t feel very connected to any of the characters. I wish they would have had more development. However, I liked getting a glimpse of Native American culture. I really liked the idea of a horror story with such an original plot, but it felt strange to me. The terrible thing that happened ten years ago that was supposed to be so awful was unpleasant, sure, but not really that bad. Overall it was fine, but I was disappointed with the execution.
