Man, this book had me captivated from the very first page of the prologue. Right off the bat, it's clear that Stephen Graham Jones is a talented writer, and it's also evident that his own-voices representation of being a Native man in the US is going to shine through, because we're immediately treated to the everyday microaggressions and bigotry Native people must face (even down to the things that someone might think is harmless like calling Ricky "Chief").

On top of that, though, there's also a very ominous, foreboding feel to the narrative that seems to quickly be turning into an outright creepy tale. I can't wait to see just how dark and twisted this book becomes!
