Stephen always knows how to hook me, and this opening was no exception. A different kind of POV character, but one with sympathetic faults. And he keeps the action moving - the POV character isn’t just living in his head. And even though not much is explained in the prologue, he’s created enough interest and tension to keep me reading, even despite the potentially jarring change of a different POV character.

I absolutely want to know what’s going on. I want to know if our new POV character is going to endure. I’m excited to get my hands on the whole book.
