I was reading this trying to figure out what was happening in the book. I gave up, read the low rated reviews to discover that this impression prologue pages are scrambled. I then had to google how to count in Roman numerals above 10 to see what page to read next. Another thing that annoyed me was that every time a person was described or talked about, it was either “white man, roughneck, or Indian”. The main character constantly was constantly reminding us he is Indian like we were going to forgot from 3 sentences before. I didn’t finish the prologue because it was too difficult to figure out what was going on.
