This is not something I would normally have picked up, but presented with it and reading two introductory vignettes, I am intrigued by the rough portrayal of contemporary Indian life, and the mystical intervention of elk. I am a little skeptical of some of the dialog - does anyone still really refer to other people as 'cats' and 'dudes?' But I'm hooked enough to be curious about where it goes.
