This preview made me feel like a kid again. Not in a happy, or safe way. In a way that really frightened me. Like how you hear a noise in the dark, waking up in a cold sweat in the middle of the night, and sit waiting for it to continue so that you can identify it’s source.
I love Stephen Graham Jones’ body of work. There’s something always on the edge of sinister about it. Rick being attacked by the Elk in this prologue really got my blood pumping in anticipation of the full release of this novel. I can’t wait to read it!
