The cover is wonderful, and led me to believe this would be a great horror novel. The blurb further contributed to this impression. However, as I began to to read, there was horror, that was true, but not horror in the classic sense. The horror that was mentioned was horror found in the conditions on the reservation, and what happens to those who do not separate themselves from the cycles of drug abuse and alcoholism.
I was disappointed to find that my much desired horror tale - my hope for a tale of monsters, ghosts, evils of the type that go "bump in the night" was not realized.
