From the small bit I have read of this, it definitely has strong writing. It seems like it is going to be an interesting story, but it is just not my cup of tea. I couldn't really get into it and had to re-read it a couple of times to even sort of figure out what is going on. I am not a fan of horror so this isn't something I would finish reading. Again, great writing, but unfortunately not my thing. The cover was really cool though.
