First off, can I just say that this cover is fantastic? OK, so that was my first first impression of this book. But holy cow (or is it elk?), did I love this First Look hook me. Look, I’ve had this on my Amazon (yes, I know, but I live in a book desert) wishlist since it was announced, and I’ve been dying for a peek inside.
I love the writing style of this, the way the character’s thoughts drive the story. I love the descriptions, the dust like confectioners sugar. I’m super into the mystery of this one. What happened with the elk ten years ago that’s already haunting both our characters? I just...really adore this.
