I didn't have any expectations going into this book except I do love thrillers and the synopsis really gripped me. Once starting the book I felt it was an easy quick read (which is something I do enjoy in thrillers!) but felt like maybe it cut to the large problem within the story. I also liked the part that I did not predict who the real killer was. As an avid thriller reader I love when I am stumped. I did not love the backstory of why the main character had moved but did like that her soon to be father in law was the killer and that she made it out ok. It was a little too convenient that she solved it and it happened to be her mom's fiancée who was going after her mom just to get to her.
Overall I think this is a 3 star YA thriller. I do like the ease of a young adult novel but sometimes the relationships within the books don't grip me and make me invested as much as adult fiction.
