The One that Got Away with Murder is the perfect book for those who loved A Good Girl's Guide to Murder and One of Us is Lying. It kept me on my toes with the misdirection and setting. I think the author did a wonderful job at really building out our main character to feel real, and for us to want to root for her. The character development was one of the highlights for me with this book.
I found all of the twists and turns very engaging. The final twist did surprise me a little, as I didn't feel as though there was as much build up for the twist to make sense. However, if I was to go back and reread the book then maybe I would find some little hints that were dropped that I missed.
The cover of this book is really eye catching, and I know that I would pick this up in the book store to read the copy on the inside.
