3.5 stars…..I don’t read many thrillers. I shy away from YA thrillers but this one had a more NA vibe for sexual content and drug usage. I know the area of Pennsylvania this book was set which enhanced my enjoyment. The cover unfortunately looks like many other covers in the same genre and I find that quite disappointing. I thought the characters were done well, and the story had enough twists that I was kept guessing. There were some tropes leaned on a bit too heavily but overall I found this to be a fun and diverting read. I thought the author was strongest at showing the relationship between the soccer teammates, as well as within friend groups. I personally needed some more feels in the romance department. Overall, I recommend this for those that enjoy YA/NA thrillers with a touch of romance. Overall, a quick read for those looking for a thriller.
