The cover is certainly eye-catching and makes me want to check it out. First person POV isn't my go-to, as it's not always well done. However that POV works well with this one, as it drops the reader into the action. The writing is descriptive, quickly engaging the reader. Topics seem to be a bit above the YA group, so I wasn't crazy about the graphic descriptions in this area. Based on the sample, this doesn't feel like a debut.
