Some Secrets You Can't Outrun
A good title and a compelling cover are what get me to crack open a book by an author I've never read before, and The One That Got Away With Murder did just that. From the opening page, we know that young Lauren has a LOT of secrets that she is trying to hide here in her new hometown. But she isn't the only one in Happy Valley with a dark past and she might not figure out who she can and cannot trust until it's too late.
These opening chapters promise a story full of twists and turns and likely a murder or two! Our "Bad Girl" narrator may just turn out to be the one who saves the day, as she slides closer and closer to danger in her efforts to find her place in this new life she is starting out in a sleepy little town in PA.
