I'll be honest and say maybe I'm in some kind of funk because this type of book would normally appeal to me. I don't know if it was the weird hook up scene in a hospice at the beginning that threw me, but I never really recovered from the ick of that. And sometimes it's weird reading YA books that have high school aged kids doing very adult things, that makes the book feel dissonant to me. Maybe this would have been better off in a college setting? The story is well written, clues being dropped and hints of a troubled past appearing, and a twist at the end of the first impression. I'm sure it's going to be a good thriller, I just couldn't seem to get into it.
