This book just takes me by surprise. From the cover to the blurb, from the title to the first few chapters this book has a complexity and a chilling quality that speak to best qualities of a thriller. I find the use of the first person narrative just makes me sit back and observe what is happening through Lauren's eyes and from her characters perspective it will take a lot to shock and surprise her, but I know she is observant, decisive, and driven leaving me know she will not lose control dispute the turns that are coming, so I know her story will be one that will totally engage and challenge me...just like it will her.
