First of all, I loved that these twelve stories came from undiscovered authors all from different countries in Africa. All of the stories had different themes and encompassed different genres. But more than that, the various writing styles of the authors show the numerous aspects of the diverse cultures of Africa. These stories helped expand my knowledge of African culture. I especially enjoyed the stories Our Girl Bimpe by Olakunle Ologunro and Black Pawpaw by Obinna Ezeodili. These stories have something for everyone, and there is a wide range of themes and ideas to discuss when it comes to these stories. My favorite things about The Newlywed's Window was that the stories were packed with original voices and the anthology opened my eyes to completely new perspectives. The authors are all super talented, and I would love to read more from them!
