This book definitely is one that all should read, as literature from the African Diaspora is often limited, and hard to find. This book fits the bill, and was very educational as well. Books from most of the world are becoming more accessible (think Asia or South America) but books from Africa are still relatively difficult to find.

As most short story collections, this book has a little something for everyone. Although I didn't love every book in the collection, there were definite highlights for me (which would be different for someone else!) I won't go into much detail about the specifics, but I did love how the stories intertwined in this collection, and there was common threads throughout the stories.

These were easy to read, and taught a lot about the different cultures and people that make up the African Diaspora. Perfect for any reader to get their feet wet!
