I do feel like I've really been interested in short stories or anthologies lately. I loved the fact that these stories were selected from Africa's most promising emerging short story writers. Because of that, I think we get a very diverse pool of writing, something that makes it interesting to continue reading. All (I believe) of the stories are fiction, and all framed in a different way. There is no real underlying theme in each of the stories, which is why I think I liked a couple of stories more than others. I also enjoyed the varied formatting of the book. Rather than have everything in dialogue, there was one told through emails and one in the form of Facebook posts and comments. Definitely kept the book engaging and I finished the book in a flash. I really like the idea of an anthology written by authors from one geographic area. So many stories come from a shared background.
