I immediately loved the concept of this book upon seeing the summary. There is a need for the world to see more African stories, diverse stories about more than just trauma and pain, and I like that the short stories give us diverse perspectives. The first story opens with an unexpected bang and was shocking but very well written and interesting. I'd be interested to see what the rest of the stories are like and how the collection flows together.
